I’m very glad that person is okay! I think we need more troopers posted in these areas. To many careless drivers and to many accidents here lately. I won’t even drive when it’s dark on 97 unless I have to now. My babies life’s are far more important then some careless person hitting us by accident.

I hate this happened to any person, but I am happy my family was not involved in this situation involving an oncoming vehicle. Narrow roads, wet, and dark. Did this even happen as a surprise?. Do you realize that conditions change on the highway very quickly? Does this sink in that you need to “use due care” Florida State Statutes? I wonder what the traffic investigation will show. Be careful out there, you never know what that oncoming set of headlights will do to you and your family. I hope I am never an afterthought with, hopefully, decent comments, in an obituary.

Praise God for allowing people to become educated enough that they can figure out how to keep people safe in the vehicles they build.
Even when they are driving beyond the limits of the conditions at the time.

A posted speed limit is max speed under ideal conditions. In heavy rain a person could be cited for speed too fast for conditions, even though the actual vehicle was traveling at the posted speed. I am glad the driver was not seriously injured and I pray for a quick recovery. The damage to that vehicle indicates the speed may have been a factor.

That must have been a very horrifying ride. I’m thinking use of a seatbelt resulted in the “not considered critical” part of the injury report. Glad that it didn’t end up worse.

As I have mentioned before..too many speeders on 97. No passing yellow lines are disregarded, the 55 mph speed limit is disregarded
