It looks like both houses are cutting taxes and trying to work with Gov Scott, but have less revenue than previously predicted so had to adjust. However, I don't understand why they zeroed out the funding for business incentives. We need more job opportunities for our young adults here--besides tourism which is nothing low paying service jobs. All the business is going to MS and GA. Drive thru their states and look at how much they're growing while FL is being left behind. Alabama has had major budget struggles since the recession and has had to slash spending and cut out many program, but they still have much more business incentives than Florida. Why come here when you have neighboring states that want to work with you and put their money where their mouth is? We need bipartisan support because this helps everyone in Florida, not just the Republicans. It's not about helping fulfill campaign promises or breaking them. It's about helping the people of Florida.

Amen, Ruby Kelly !!!

And cutting corporate taxes doesn't count as money in my pocket. That would be in their pocket.

I simply don't understand why Governor Scott is so disliked, HE'S TRYING TO LOWER OUR TAXES. If you lower taxes enough you have to reduce government, and that is a good thing, If he's fighting for what he promised and the Florida Congress stops him, hey, you have to give credit for trying. Many politician's make promises and they end as soon as they are sworn in.

Governor Scott has dealt too many cuts to the retirement benefits earned by our LEO, Corrections Officers and Firefighters in the state of Florida. Why would we want new businesses in this State if we do not have good resources to protect and serve them? He needs to reinstate the benefits he stripped from our public servants before bringing more businesses...

It's about time he was reigned in. Remember in his first year he slashed education by 1B and then the very next year he put it right back in? He's not the brilliant "business man" that some folks think he is. He's basically a crook that fooled the citizens of Florida, twice! (which, apparently, wasn't too hard to do).

Hey shonuff, it's not "way better"; no such thing. It's "much" better. Come on people, quit the dumbing down of America!

As many folks don't care for Gov. Rick Scott, he was asking for 1 billion in tax cuts that means more money in our pockets. He did get us 400 million in tax reductions anyway...
A good business person always asks more than expected and settles for a lesser number. You always add fluff or inflate a proposed budget and settle for less.
It's politics.
Has the Governor done anything worthwhile? Look at what your vehicle registration, or tag cost now, compared to before he was elected. It is way cheaper now. Florida has money in the bank instead of a deficit it had for years before he was elected, and we all benefit from it.
I will take a bean counter in the capital over a good ole boy any day.
