I heard the crash happened and was one of the first people to see the area. Maybe people need to not assume it was the roads fault. If a driver is preoccupied and not paying attention to the road things like this are gonna happen no matter how wide the road is, or how deep the shoulder. Sorry for the families loss, but dont make assumptions that it was at the fault of anyone else.

Another life lost (possibly) because Florida road specifications evidently do not require dirt, gravel, etc. sloping away from the edges of the paved roads.
I wonder why that is that way? In other parts of the country the roads have shoulder material that helps when one needs to get back on the pavement at speed.
I guess there have not been enough lawsuits against the state yet.
