On the subject of taxes !.....if we're paying 11 cents per gallon gasoline tax to Escambia county....then 32 cents per gallon to the state of Florida....then 18 cents per gallon to the fed government.....that's over 60 cents per gallon on every gallon of gas. Granted the people who pay no fed income tax...no real estate tax etc. and of course no state (fla) income tax are at least paying something. I'm guessing a very large percentage of us are unaware of this kinda ( hidden) tax. I wonder why the politicians never mention this kinda (hidden) tax ?

If Scott wanted to do this in conjunction with a raise in the minimum wage, then it might be good for everyone, but his plan just shifts the tax burden on to the poor and the middle class, which consists of most us in Florida.
It also means that Plutocrats and Corporatist, including those who own businesses in Florida but don't live here, will be taking their tax savings and giving themselves a raise.
