They are back logged and L.E CCW's get processed before the general public.My CCW instructor(Ron Beermunder) told me it would take just 90 days also. I waited 7 months to get mine and NO there were no surprises in my background. @EMD

If you go to the appointment and they do it you get a tracking number for your application. I am not sure if there is any way to track it once it is mailed. The office scans everything and it is sent to Tallahassee, I personally think it is faster. I went on Oct 14 and got mine in the mail yesterday.
