Tuesday....24 Nov. 2015

For several hours today the railroad crossing at Barrancas Ave. and Main St. in Pensacola had the RED Flashing Lights going yet there was not any evidence of any train or train cars to be seen. Empty train tracks on both sides of the Warning Signal.

People were of course having to drive on thru the signals.

This made me think, why didn't the Railroad people get out there and fix the thing?

My heart goes out to the engineer operating this train. This is exactly what his nightmares are made of...even though he takes all the precautions. I don't recall if that crossing has arms, but nevertheless RR crossing sign, flashing red lights, loud bells AND loud train whistle should have warned the driver. God bless you Mr. Engineer!

hmmmm, I tried to envision what part of the sun is causing THAT much glare at 2:30 in the afternoon and just can't make reason of it. Sorry, but even this time of year the sun doesn't present a problem at that time of day. Horn blaring, lights flashing, driving through the crossing arm.....at what point do you just say "man, I screwed that one up" and admit your mistake. Oh, I think I'll blame it on the sun this time.........

Built Ford tough! That was a nice pickup, but it looks like this is a total here. Frame damage too bad to be fixed, would probably cost more than the vehicle is worth.

The horns on those trains are so very, very loud, & the crossings usually have bells, so this one makes me wonder, though I won't make judgements on Mr. Moore. You turn 65, you still have bills to pay, & that means you might still have to get back & forth to work. You can't feed the dogs & cats on Social Security checks nowadays.

You don't see the flashing lights but you drive thru the crossing arm? Your license should be revoked!

If you can't see red flashing lights and you hit a train you should not be allowed to drive anymore.
