I knew J.R. when we were kids. I joined the Marines around a year or so before him, and had no idea he had joined... until I was stationed at NAS Pensacola and was serving on funeral detail when I immediately recognized his name. My husband and I were part of the detail honoring JR. Fly high Marine, and along with many of our fellow Marines, guard those gates. Semper Fi!! Semper Fi J.R. I knew J.R. when we were kids.
