I had someone calling saying I had a warrant for the arrest of my child if I did not pay their fine. They called several times a day with no amount of threats to stop calling me working so I finally told them to call my hubby at work and gave his work number. Only I gave the number to the sheriffs department instead. All calls have since stopped.

Keep them on the phone for as long as you can. Waste their time. Use your imagination and screw with them hard.
You don’t know how much fun it is to get under the skin of the scammers.
I’ve done it a few times with the “Windows-virus” people and the phone surveys….had them fuming before they hung up on me and I laughed for a good 5 minutes.

i had the same scam pertaining to the IRS several months ago. they called on a saturday with the same story. i hung and put the # that made the call from my caller id on the google search. surprise scam alert came up. it is nation wide. hard to stop cause the calls are really made from over seas. besides we all know the federal government does’t work on saturdays or actually anytime.

I have been getting calls threatening a law suit by the IRS unless I contact their office in area code 206 452-3896 immediately. I reported it to my telephone company but so far nothing was done. Does anybody know why these numbers cannot be traced and put out of business? Whoever is behind these scams knows nothing will happen to them since they leave their contact information on answering machines.
