Poarch Creek gives workers about nine cents a hour raise . I have been told the insurance is going up.. I have a friend that works ten or more hours a day. this person makes less than nine fifty a hour.

The casino in Atmore does provide jobs, but upon speaking with numerous friends who’ve been employed there, the benefits and pay aren’t competitive, the employees are overworked and treated poorly without regulation. The area needs good quality jobs that are able to sustain and promote people not prolong poverty. We don’t need more “Walmart quality” jobs. We need marketable industry. And yes, I agree, they’d probably open fruit stands if slot machines were permitted therein.

You really should do some reading and educate yourself on our Florida Lottery and what the money is actually allocated towards. Now to point out some things you probably aren’t aware of because you don’t read the paper:

1. Pensacola DOES want good paying jobs. It’s no one’s fault but your own if your tips don’t pay your bills.

2. Escambia County is in the process of building three to four new schools.

3. There are a lot of schools in Escambia County who are feeding all students free breakfast and lunch.

I could go on and correct your spelling and grammar, but I don’t find it necessary.

you are right joe,florida is stupied.atmore is on the map now because of the casino.they have brought new jobs for people.look at pensacola,it would take one casino in here to put jobs back in pensacola.how can they tell wincreek they cant have slot machines> so stupied.what is taking peoples money up there? some kind of slot machines,whats the difference.pensacola dont want good paying jobs first of all. its all about the beach..you got the dog track,isnt that gambling? what about the lottery that you dont see them building new schools,what happen to the billions that the lottery said goes to schools.it should go to helping feed school kids that have low incomes. they need to get rid of scott and put someone in there that wants to help with jobs.that goes for escambia county to.get rid of people that dont want jobs in here.whos pockets are filling up around here?
