A man approached him and asked if he could help get a cat out from his car engine. It took Ryan about 1 1/2 to free the cat (he had to remove the tire among other things). So, now here's the best part-after all that "rescue time", I guess they bonded. Ryan decided he was going to keep the cat and give it a good home.(he has a big heart for animals!) He already has a dog named "Smoke" and now he has a cat named "Ash"! The same thing just happened to my son, Ryan, who is also a firefighter (Molino). What an awesome crew for saving this adorable kitty. A friend of mine just last week saved a kitten that was under her truck. Took her and her husband hours to finally get the little stinker out. Knowing that I am a cat lover, she called me, so I took the cutie in, she is about five weeks old, orange and white female. She was never afraid of my dogs, but terrified of people. But with lots of love and patience, she now trusts me, and I adore her. Yes, she will be spayed as soon as she is old enough. This makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. We had the same thing happen at our office - we rescued the frightened kitten and she turned out to be a very sweet pet now. At first you couldn't get near her - she was lashing out with her claws and hissing at us. But do very thankful we were able to rescue her and give her a wonderful home !! Awesome job!
