I'm a chronic pain patient for years. What a pain in the butt to deal with all the red tape, suspicion, attitudes etc from the whole vicious circle of folks you have to deal with. Damn DEA runs roughshod over doctors. I do understand the abuse issues, but to punish and make the lives of actual long well-documented patients even worse is sad, and lazy with today's technology. Does the DEA ever come to my rescue to protect me when things go awry? The answer is NO! Just continual harassment, snide looks, indifference to your condition and absolutely zero compassion for your suffering. If I knew faithfully serving my country for a career (with rounds of combat) would lead me to become a third class citizen, I don't think I would answer the call today. More stupidity.
