One thing I still can’t understand is if it took a little over an hour and a half to chase Jeremy to okaloosa county where he wrecked how could he have been going over a hundred miles per hour? I drove 70 all the way from century after what I heard and it took me less than thirty minutes to get there and I even stopped at all caution lights and stop signs how is that possible?

I have something to say…… I was dating Jeremy and I know for a fact he did not rob churches…. At the time of the robbery he was at Odom’s bar we also have proof they he was there….. To all the neg. Comments y’all did not know him like we do….. So keep all ur neg comments to ur self… He was the greatest person this world could ask for and I am proud to say hr was a part of my life…. Also this wreck was not a 100% his fault…. The cops was the one that caused him to wreck….. So please if u Dont know him do not comment about him nor about what happen please…. R.I.P. I mean really?! What cop do you know that pulled over someone and killed them in Escambia County Alabama? This is just being used as an excuse. If you don’t feel safe pulling over on a dark road at night, call their dispatch center and let them know that you will pull over as soon as you get to a public place. They can relay it to their officers. You don’t just speed up and keep going through several counties and another state.

Maybe he was a good guy. The article didn’t say he wasn’t. I do know that if you are not doing anything wrong, then you have no reason to run. The police did not “kill” him. He killed himself. He was going at an incredible high rate of speed.

Some of you said that the police should have just backed off. Well, if the police had and Mr. Elliott had hit another vehicle and killed them or injured them, then you would say that the police should have done their job and pursued the chase. The police cannot win for losing.

Mr. Elliott may not have robbed Church’s, but the traffic accident was 100% his fault. His death, was 100% his fault.

To the family of Mr. Elliott,
I did not know him, but I do want to offer my condolences. No one deserves to lose a family member like this. I will keep all of you in my prayers. God Bless You.

First of all wrong is wrong right is right this young man was in the wrong Robbing church’s chicken and the young person with him was and is just as wrong as the driver. The law didn’t kill this guy..this guy killed his self…if he would have only STOPPED when order to he would be alive tonight so KUDOS TO COPS also that’s less dope and guns off the streets and a fool off the highways to make them a tad bit safer. Speeding like that only does one thing it KILLS. So he killed his self

I agree with seriously 100%. Regardless if he robbed churches he most likely is a drug dealer running from the law because of all they found in his vehicle. No one will have scales for any other reason. The only good from this is that he did not kill innocent lives while eluding the police officers. The law is not to blame here but the deceased and all of his bad choice are. But this seems to be the norm around this country….blame others for your mistakes. Good job to our law enforcement and glad none of you were harmed.

Sorry to the family for their loss. But to those in the family asking others not to judge, maybe if they had been more critical of the choices he made instead of enabling him by turning a blind eye. Maybe he would not have felt the need to run from the police. Better involvement by family and friends to encourage good choices may have saved this man’s life how many others do you know that are mixed up in drugs etc. Being an unlicensed recreational pharmacist clearly has some down sides.

On august 22 1975 a Salt Lake City police pursued a vehicle that refused to stop for a minor traffic offense. He was caught after lengthy pursuit and after the officer and others where put in harms way. The suspect was arrested and the vehicle searched. After the search the officer called investigators about several suspicious items found in the vehicle. That traffic stop resulted in the capture of a man responsible for the rape, torture, and murder of at least 30 daughters, sisters, aunts, friends, and loved but no one was sorry that Tef Bundy was brought to justice.

No one was complained when Timothy mcveigh was arrested on a traffic stop after killing those innocent loved ones in Oklahoma City. Randy Kraft and many other serial killers, rapist, gangsters, bombers, and violent felons have been caught because of traffic stops by patrolmen and women across this country.

To all those who say police killed this man or should have called off the case call on of the fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, friends, or children who where the victs left behind to grief the victims of Ted bundy, Timothy mcveigh, or randy kraft and explain to them how the police should have just never even bothered at all to stop these men.

No life should be lost needlessly and all life should be mourned but the police have a duty to do and every citizen in this country has a responsibility under the law to obey the police. The man ran because he did not want have to answer to the laws of this country for his decisions to break the law, and instead he will have to answer to The Lord for his choices.

May The Lord be just and merciful to him and may God comfort his family and loved ones during this difficult time. But this is the fault of Elliot for his choices not anyone else.

@Chris maybe someone can hack a facebook page, but what about the 50 or so other people and cameras that saw him at Odom’s bar from 9:30 until after 11 oclock???? I say this to all of you judgemental people out there in the world…. If you were not there to see it, stop condemning!!!! Regardless of whatever, one of God’s creations is gone. He was a son, a father, a brother, and definitely a really good friend, and above all else a human being. Everybody has mistakes in their life that they wish they could erase, its just that for him it was too late. NOBODY IS A PERFECT HUMAN BEING!!!! THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT HERE HURTING OVER THIS LOSS WHO LOVED JEREMY UNCONDITIONALLY!!! Maybe a lot of you don’t know what that means because you’re too busy pointing fingers and judging people.
