Here’s how the article should have read: Boutwell surrendered quickly after deputies saturated the residence with tear gas.

A 9 hour standoff is unacceptable. When will law enforcement be allowed to use whatever force necessary to remedy situations like this? That is, concussion grenades, multiple k-9’s, whatever it takes, rather than tying up all the personnel required to get closure in these type scenarios.
