While this is a great idea, I know a bit about human nature. How many of these folks have the ability to dispose of this trash, but choose not to do so because, eventually, someone else will, at no cost to them? I think some discretion in what is cleaned up for free and what is cleaned up for at least a minimal charge could and should be used to keep abuse of this great idea to a minimum.

I'd also love to see citations being given to people who throw their fast food bags in and trash in the beds of their pickup trucks KNOWING it will blow out somewhere on the road. We get a ton of trash on our property from Highway 29 southbound traffic and have to pick it up at least weekly. If it was my trash, it would have been placed in the can to start with! Very aggravating.

>>I believe that you can find out about up and coming “clean sweeps” on the Escambia County Sheriffs Office (ECSO) website

Yes...but that's not part of this program.

This is a county program outside the Clean Sweeps. They are usually all south of Nine Mile.

Great job. I was wondering how residents are made aware of this taking place. I'd like to know when the next event is. Not just hear about it after is over. Can anyone help? Thanks.
