OK let’s say this guy was talking to a kid @14yrs old n not a cop..let’s say that kids mom or dad catches him with their kid n gives him a bullet to the face. I would bet their bond would be more than $45000. And the moral is that its better to molest a kid than to protect them from monsters like this… I vote no bond for pedifiles until found innocent of the crime accused of them

Remember, bond is to make sure they show up for court. It is not intended as punishment.

Second, people are sent to prison AS punishment. Not to be punished by other inmates.

I’m all for locking these guys up, and have sent several there myself. But we don’t let inmates carry out their version of justice on them. We are supposed to be better than that.

@Rachel, it said nothing about a girl. He could have been meeting what he thought was a boy. People tend to forget young boys are victims too of this type thing.

Why give people like this a bond at all? They should just remain in jail until a hearing.

$45,000 bond… Really why does he even have a chance to walk out of the jail!?! To try to find another young girl… Makes no sense at all.. Thank God this time it was a officer cause when he makes bond I am sure he will find another till his court date!! Wake up put these pervs away!!!

I worked in a correctional facility for 4 years. I hope they put this guy in general population I know what happens to them!
