Was at work one day and heard a loud "POP" from the street. Looked out window and a parked SUV had smoke coming from under the hood and the interior of the vehicle. Within moments the whole thing was on fire and before the fire department could get there it fully involved. Later one of the firemen told us it was likely a battery short causing the wiring to overheat and start a fire in the interior of the vehicle. With all the plastic and foams and such the fire was intense with much black smoke. Not saying this was the case for this truck but electrical fires happen and cause great damage. Electrical fires can cause a fire and damage like this.
