I agree with marylou, let the Indians have their casinos and the rights priviliges options etc. that they're entitled to, and let them spend the revenue to add to what they have, good for them.
It seems that they should be able to exist and compete with others in the market, pay a tax like their competitors would, so let's make them pay less than they paid in the compact for exclusivity, but they can still pay something.
And I also agree, lets at the very least have a vote to allow vegas style casino resorts into Florida, put them in coastal counties with golf courses. Stay away from Disney to appease that group, it's easy enough to get across the I-4 freeway to the Daytona Beach area, or over to Tampa area.
Florida is big enough and diversified enough to handle it, and the citizens seem to be ready for it. Let's gradually open things up and go for it.
Negotiations could easily be win win win if open minds are at the table

I think a great compromise here would be:
Allowing the Seminoles what they want and letting them add 3 more casinos..
The Seminoles cannot have exclusivity and would require the continue payment to Florida ..
Florida should allow the same for Para mutual properties..
I also think Florida should allow other casinos in the Miami and Panhandle area of Florida..maybe 6 in each location...
Just a thought..
