Our inmates also (federal) do road and grounds work on the military bases as well. I think our county is so big now that it requires all kinds of extra effort just to keep it picked up. ECUA leaves trash all over the place after it picks up on Monday. I've complained to no avail. Also - folks driving pick up trucks throw trash in the back knowing it will fly out so that they don't have to take care of it. Sad and lazy. What happened to the use of nearly free labor to do these tasks for the public good? Mom would say that if we didn't respect the law and go to school to get an education that we'd end up working with the prisoners. Guess that worked....didn't take us long to make the connection of where we did not want to be.
