How about getting some industry into our area, Mr.Miller?? Our children are leaving the state to find jobs after college. Contrary to what politicians believe, our local economy is not fueled by tourism. Look at what the Foley, Alabama area has done to attract jobs. It is a disgrace to allow Escambia Country to be the poorest county in the state whenever there are hundreds of acres of unused property. My vote will always go to the person who tries to improve the lot of the working class and the betterment of the economy.

Seeing as 1of 3 employees in the VA system are veterans, it would appear he is not standing up for the veteran as he supposes. IF Miller cared so much about veterans he would actually show up in person and talk to the 12’s and below about how to improve the system and not waste any tax dollars. He is all blow with no go when it comes to reality. He wants to make the VA like business and be able toget rid of employees at the lower level just as easy as it is in business. It takes me at least 3 months to get in to see a specialist physician, and sometimes up to 4 months to get in to see my regular physician, what make a warrior any better thanthe people they serve? This not Rome from the BC and AD centuries.

Thank You, Rep. Miller for your intentions to help the Veterans. If the VA was doing it’s job, taking care of those who risked all for the sake of our beloved country, we wouldn’t have “charities” like “wounded warrior” and such harassing citizens with phone calls and mailings, wanting your hard earned $$ that allegedly goes to help Veterans. ( I doubt several of these charities’ legitimacy, but the phone calls and mailing abound! Begging for $$ for various needy groups! )

In other words, why give up his sure-thing House seat just to lose in the primary against more well known candidates from central and southern Florida? He continues to be elected to the 1st District House seat because he has an R behind his name, and for no other reason. The rest of Florida has no idea who this guy is even though he’s been in Congress for over 14 years. Isn’t it time to have a Congressman from Pensacola, the major urban area in the First District?
