I’m with you. I hate to see young lives wasted too, but most people who live criminal lifestyles are of the opinion that they won’t get caught. Getting caught happens to others. They take the chance that police will be busy elsewhere and won’t see or catch them during the commission of their crimes. It’s like speeding; they do it hundreds of times, but one day, they speed at the wrong time and get a ticket. They may steal numerous times, but get caught once. Once is all it takes! Live and learn. Sounds like the older Cooler had plenty of opportunities to change his ways and did not.

I hate to see young lives wasted. Do these young people realize what they are risking ? Is taking the easy way out, by taking what they want from those of us who work for what we want, really worth the trade off? Don’t take me wrong, based on their past, albeit short lived as it was, they got exactly what they deserved, but, two more mouths for us tax payers to feed! Wonder if I can I claim them on my taxes next year?

Because he had not been sentenced.

Crimes for which he was sentenced yesterday occurred on January 14, 2014,

He was sentenced to 30 months on June 18, 2014.

25 years a light sentence? Are you serious? that in itself is a lifetime. What should he have gotten the death penalty? What planet are you living on? I’ve seen murderers, child molesters, and rapist get less than time than that. Get their lives on a different path? You sound ridiculous. After 25 years in prison what other choices will he have when he gets out. I don’t condone the crimes committed, and yes they deserve what they got; I’m only responding to your moronic comment.

On June 18, 2014, Shawn Cooler was found guilty of violating that probation and sentenced to 30 months in state prison prison.

If he was tried, convicted, and sentenced to 30 months in 2014, why was he on the streets instead of prison? Anyone know?
