I agree May should have been arrested as well as the guy in the yellow shirt who kept interfering during the tragic stop. Interesting to hear the Sgt who came to the scene tell the officer not to write him a ticket per car13 which is a Lt. This is a fine example of a politician trying to use the race card for traction. I guess it’s easier to do that then do good for the community and run on your accomplishments.

I just don’t understand one small part of Mr. May’s traffic stop. He stated that he was “profiled.” The Pensacola Police Dept. tested his window tint and said that it was illegal. I am assuming that means the tint was too dark. If so, how was the officer able to see that well into his vehicle? How was she able to “profile” him that easily? I also have a problem with Mr. May’s statement that the tint was from a “factory” vehicle. Most driver and passenger “front” windows are not tinted from the factory. Vehicles might be shipped to any state in this country. All have different laws that regulate the degree of tint on the windows. I just want our elected officials to be honest. Guess that’s too much to ask for these days.

Assuming they paid attention and actually did the work themselves, it should teach them what they can legally do and not do as commissioners under state and federal law..

Luman May doesn’t deserve anything. Somebody needs to tell him that he isn’t above the law. The way he acted on the traffic stop, he needs to learn how to respect the law. He should have gotten a ticket for running the stop signs and not having a drivers license…actually he should have went to jail. He needs to be fired not given a stupid award. Our county commissioners is all a joke. As long as we have county commissioners like him Escambia County will never be a good place to live.

Watch the traffic stop raw video and then read the last paragraph of this article. Wow! Either the “coursework” or this course was either a complete waste of (his time/our money) or Mr. May knows how to pass a test without learning content. Wow.
