What a tragedy for this young man..only 39 years old..it wasn’t mentioned whether he was wearing a helmet or not- but, it usually does make a difference in the outcome of their injuries….(speaking as a critical care nurse who has had many motorcycle accident patients)

Lets focus on what happened please. A man died here. His freinds and family are in pain. Yep, he made an illegal move, and it cost him his life. Yep, the lady that hit him wasnt supposed to be driving. She has to live with that choice, and the consequences thereof, for the rest of her life.

People please, look out for motorcycles. They are everywhere!

HTO charges do nothing to keep people from driving. We have neighbors and family members whose licenses were revoked for HTO. They never go to court and they will never pay the court costs & fines they have accrued over the years. Those drivers are the reason I have to pay for Uninsured Motorist coverage. It’s ridiculous.

With her record, why does anyone bother to get a drivers license, vehicle tags or vehicle insurance.
According to her record, you can drive when ever and if caught just ignore the fines and court cost and get released.
And keep on driving.
Geez Louise, I just wonder why I try to do the right thing all the time.

Her crime was simply being behind the wheel. A habitual traffic offender is someone who has accumulated a set number of previous traffic convictions making the act of driving illegal for that person. So she was charged with merely driving, not necessarily for some act (such as turn signals) involved in the accident.
