Animal attacks scary, they don't fight like we do. I have a few small rescue dogs. Never had a dog I couldn't pick up and carry. big dogs scare me, I respect them, they can out run me, jump higher , and having bigger teeth. If one of my little guys attacked me , it would hurt, but I could punt them across the yard. Awful experience and hoping for healing of body and spirit. The mastiff were used in by Napoleon in battle and it was said they "Fought Valiantly" and were used extensively by the Spanish Conquistadors against the Native Americans having said that there still a good breed, now a pit bull that's a different story.
