This is nothing to be alarmed about.
The delinquency rate seems about the same every year.
Some property owners do not pay on time on purpose.
Do not know why.

Just pay your bills and no worries. It is your obligation if you own property, don’t want to pay then sell. Hate to see what county services would have to be stopped due to 17 million not being paid.

Some employers require “just debts” to be paid. Getting your name published on a delinquent tax role might not be a good thing if you work for one of those employers!

@coseys. No. It is the beginning steps for a tax certificate sale. Nothing to do with shame just someone paying the late taxes for the delinquent owner. By doing this, they bid against others on the interest rate. After 2 years but before 7, they apply to get their money with interest back. The owner then has to pay all back taxes, interest and fees by a specific date and time. If they don’t then a tax deed sale will happen. Meaning they lose the property

“to avoid being advertised as delinquent” Does this mean pay your taxes or we’ll tell everybody or shame you into paying them by letting everybody know you don’t pay your bills on time? That’s an awesome way to do business..NOT!!
