My dogs have car seats, they don’t travel unrestrained . Prayers for child, five month old babies are so small.

Re: unrestrained children in cars….in this town LEO could just go around all day long writing tickets for unrestrained children/passengers. At Ensley elementary for example I would say 70% of car riders are not restrained. Plus too many kids in one vehicle, people who have the car seat/booster IN the car but another child is holding a baby/toddler….ridiculous.

The driver was at fault for driving with a child not in the proper restraint. I seriously doubt he was holding the baby while driving. Therefore, who was the contributing party holding the baby?

Yes, he’s got a record. “Scary Probation”, ha !
It’s not even like that though. It’s not about punishment. For this area that’s just awful. It’s all about the $$$MONEY$$$. Go to the misdemeanor court at at 8:30 in the morning. I thought the judge sounded more like an auctioneer. $273 a pop. We’re talking an easy 100 people. I went fighting FWC on a ticket for not having enough life jackets when picking up a man and wife who had capsized their canoe and taking them to where they put in on Perdido. Guess i should’ve told them, “sorry, i dont have enough life jackets you’ll have to swim it. Cuz was watching folks from the woods. I get alot of the citations if a bunch of kids were at that Filingims and were drinking /carrying on around a bonfire, but dang. Yea the folks i picked up weren’t in mortal danger. Revenue source Plain n simple. The officer was a really nice guy though.

Check out his record on public records,a couple of felonies,,drugs,violence, prison stints,many.many misdemeanors for traffic and several charges for no seat belt,several probation violations…..and a $1000 bond? I’m sure he’s trembling with fear over maybe getting more of that scary PROBATION.

I’m sorry but I make dang sure that my 19 year old is wearing a seat belt., You may be a good driver but you never know when you might meet up with someone that’s not.
