I don’t agree Paul, distracted driving should not be on par with DUI. Although distracted driving is bad especially as it relates to these idiots who text and drive. These ppl should be cited for “reckless driving” which is a big deal. Ive seen too many ppl run off the road, run others off the road, sit through green lights, etc. I pray for all those involved in this accident and hope they all recover.

Yes accidents do happen cause people sometimes just get distracted. There are a lot of things that can take your attention away from your driving. You might have a child that is crying or arguing with someone or looking at your GPS you could be reading a road sign looking for a place to stop there are numerous things that can distract us we need to remember to keep at least one eye on the road at all times. This can happen to anyone I just hope and pray everyone is ok.

If you are distracted driving it is NO accident and this women smashed a police crusier head on she needs to be held accountable hopefully the deputy pulls through this and recovers

Both deputies and the other driver were wearing their seat belts. The report says “Unknown” on the 6-year old and no information at all was released about the prisoner.

In the end the results are the same and to me when one picks up a cellphone or other device while driving it isn’t any different from one who picks up a bottle.. They’re endangering innocent lives with their carelessness..
