Our thoughts and prayers go to this family as they try to salvage what keepsakes they can, if any, and begin to rebuild their lives. Having lost everything when living in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, I understand how devastating a natural disaster can be, it helped to focus on what I had rather than what I lost. Please keep them in your prayers to have the strength needed to rebuild their lives. They are both in their 70's and we are grateful for the firemen, their neighbors, and that they both got our unharmed. They left the home while calling for help and did not try to reenter. Scared the crap out of us thinking it was goin to hit us too. I was so releved to hear that they got out ok. It was insane watching them try and combat that fire for nearly two hours. God bless those men who respond and protect everyone. I know now from first hand experience that is one heck of a scary job! Thanks to all the responders who worked hard to get this under control before anyone was hurt or it hit other homes. It was insane how big that fire got so fast.
