I think Gov. Scott will give some time and attention to corrections. We do need a place to keep the bad guys and gals. I am with Sho-Nuff – Hate Scott if you want to but it’s nice to know that there is money in the coffers for things likes schools and prisons. I’ve always said that we don’t need to raise taxes – we need to do a better job with what we’ve already got and Scott has made that happen. It’s made him unpopular in some quarters, but hey! Nobody is loved by all.

Scott needs to put more money into the prison system. It’s getting more dangerous every day for the officers and the inmates. The officers have not had a raise in several years. Funds are not available to keep the buildings and equipment up. It’s Scotts responsibility to maintain a safe working environment for everyone.

Hate Gov Scott if you want to.
But he knows how to budget and hold people accountable. He is trimming the fat an there is plenty of it . Lots of folks on the State payroll paid with our dollars doing nothing. Good for him and he is giving the savings back to the tax paying working folks.
The State of Florida has a surplus budget, unheard of for most States considering most are on the brink of bankruptcy.

I worked for a big corporation once that was failing and a new President came in and asked everyone to explain why they were on the payroll, how they contributed to the Company. Many of the clock riders were fired and the Company became very successful.
