The Escambia County Animal Shelter will adopt out put bull so long as they pass a temperament test. I was there last year doing a health inspection of the clinic & they tried their hardest to get me to adopt a pit bull puppy when I mentioned that I loved the breed. I would have taken one too if I didn't have 3 dogs already. Puddin, pit bulls used to be automatically put down if a rescue couldn't take them a few years ago. I believe the policy changed sometime in 2012 or 2013.
