I believe the EPA has funding available to reimburse expense to some one who wants to be trained in these certifications and it is a good stable type of job that can be utilized anywhere in the country. Perhaps there is a local person out here who can step up to fill this position and be on a good stable career path. It is a viable job created by Century. No one really thinks they want to work at a waste treatment plant, but if you are interested in science, environment, are smart enough to monitor test sights and fill in paperwork it may be a good local job opportunity.

Just a guess that she resigned out of frustration with the system.
Since the “April flood” Escambia County has established a StormWater Assessment Team (SWAT) to do some investigation of how the infrastructure failed and how to repair drainage for future storms.
Seems they have studied and talked and had some experts come in and assess things yet so far have had no proposals coming forward.
Perhaps it is time for the County Commissioners to call for a report and recommendations from the SWAT so there can actually be movement on this important issue.
Without an up to date infrastructure the county is missing out on much needed jobs and investors coming here.
