We couldn't find the source of the smell either. It was kind of a metallic-smoky smell that was scary. Seemed to be coming from the north/ We live on the west end of Perdido Key and it was mid-afternoon when we noticed it. Not sure how long it had been there but we noticed the smell for about 30 minutes. It was gone as quickly as we found it. On Sunday, Dec 14, my husband and I noticed a strong odor that we couldn’t identify. We couldn’t find the source of the smell either. It was kind of a metallic-smoky smell that was scary.
