It was a lot of fun for the kids and their families. Its just sad that more people from Century haven't got involved. It doesn't say a lot about the town when the only firetrucks are from Alabama. Also just wondering why the Northview band wasn't involved. I feel this could really be a great thing. We just need to get more people behide it. Let's not let this get away from our town. If they want to go from land to water they may need to end at Fischers landing. I arrived a few minutes after 5 pm. and it was already packed in front of the AG building so we went on down in front of the Apost. faith campground and parked. There were kids running and playing all along the side of the highway, and fools were topping the hill at the AG building and I bet they were running 50-60 mph and not just one or two a lot of them. This made for a dangerous situation, and I am surprised no one was hurt. They need to leave this parade in the downtown area. They could line up at Showalter Park run a route down Front street Hecker, Mayo, Jefferson all of these streets are safer than Hwy 4. Like I said if they need to end at the water go to Fishers landing. Overall the parade was great, but I believe they need to rethink the route.
