I worked for the state for 26 years,DOC from 1993-2014.I represented the dept on “good morning tri states” in 1994.That same year I helped open and operate the psychology dept at washington correctional institution which was one of the most dangerous prisons in florida.In 2013 health services were privatized and I was fortunate(I THOUGHT) to land a position in another dep. Well I was told my first week by some angry female employees that I wouldnt be there long.They were angry because I got a position that their friend wanted and I was earning a larger salary.In july of2014 I went on vacation only to return to work under investigation for sexual harassment.Several females in that dept were overheard on their smokebreak discussing me.The inspector who handled the case was fired in 2001 by the marion county sherriffs office for sexual harassment.He only interviewed the few that wanted me gone and in a hearing within the DOC the female who made the complaint was caught lying which was confirmed by her supervisor and a coworker.On 8/19/2014 I was fired.I would not resign for something I didnt do.Is something not wrong with this.IT COST ME MY MARRIAGE,MY FAMILY,MY HOME, AND MY CAREER!!!!

I am in in OPS (Other Personal Services) position and would ilke to know if she can implement changes in the future for upgrading these positions? Will she be able to have the influence over certain cronies to make sure reliable, dedicated staff which are in this OPS position continue to stay. There is only 2 that are OPS throughout the state in my position, can she make these permanent positions?

I am glad that there will be someone that will look at the welbeing of inmates i have many issues that i want to discuss with her retaliation, provoking.. is there going to be a change…. thank you

DOC officers have been abusing and killing inmates for years with impunity. The Inspector General is a good old boy right along with all the rest of the leadership. The prisons are staffed with generations of officers who know to do knowing other than what their grandfather and fathers taught them and that is to abuse the people they are there to guard. Granted there are some scumbags in the system and the prison caste system will handle those but for a bunch of bullying guards to beat, maim, and kill prisoners is criminal and their behinds should be right in prison with the same people they abused. As a civil rights advocate I have been fighting this type of stuff for years and it is an uphill battle.

The Department of Corrections will not change as long as the governor continues to appoint people as figure head secretary’s that will continue to allow Tim Cannon and the other cronies from the Cross City connection call the shots. Tim Cannon, Ricky Dixon, Sam Culpepper and others have all been in charge to long.
