Working in the school system for 39 years I "learned" several lessons. 1. Avoid contact with "sick folks". 2. Wash your hands thoroughly and often during the day...with soap. 3. KEEP your hands away from your eyes, nose and mouth. 4. If sick, stay home and rest, drinking plenty of liquids, broth and soup. 5. Monitor your temperature and go to the doctor if the fever persists. 6. Irrigate your sinuses with a saline solution(salt water). 7. Wipe ALL surfaces you may touch while "sick" with a disinfectant. 8. Monitor any and all medicines you may take...read the label and instructions. Sage advice…. By 3pm I was on my back and had the flu full-bore. Went to the doctor on Monday and had it really bad by then. Just got back to work today and still feel rough. Even though I managed very limited contact with anyone, still 2 other people I had been around managed to get it. It is a bad, bad thing and I pray nobody here gets it. One person at work has managed to give it to 4 people because "she couldn't afford to miss work", well guess what we don't want your flu and if you are sick, stay home!
