@ chillywilly,

Much of the funding was creating a deficit in Florida's budget - Scott did the unpopular job of correcting this before the state had to go into bankruptcy proceedings, like some other states we've heard about in the news.. Now that the state is on a solid financial base, these areas can be funded at a higher rate. This is what the Federal Govt. needs to do as well, unpopular as it would be to do so - financial stability is vital for any govt. to be run well. I would expect to see the list you wrote addressed in the near future.

Great, I think that is wonderful, so maybe Gov. Scott can now
Restore the funding he cut from handicapped ,disabled children.
Restore the 3 % tax he levied on all state and county employees.
Restore the 3 % to all police officers, teachers, correction officers
Restore the 1.3 Billion he cut from our children’s education his first year in office. Closed the states only TB hospital and put TB
Patients in motels and exposed to everyone. He cut in home
Services to handicapped , disabled children so they could stay home with their families and put them in
Senior nursing homes. Keeps his assets hid in a blind trust in his
Wife’s name. Maybe Gov. Scott can restore some of what he
Stole from Medicare fraud through his company HCA.
Gov Scott is doing a great job, but at who’ s expense

Anybody thanking our President? Great economy, amazing stock market, low unemployment. I guess partisan politics determine how you view it.

Scott claims to continue cutting taxes when there's a surplus of over a billion dollars? What cuts are being made that result in almost in a billion dollars of tax payer money? Seems a bit redundant considering over 80 % of government revenue is from taxes.

It would seem our state government has a rein on finances. Thanks to them.
As for palm trees, let's stick with just plain old pine, scrub oak and a Florida Maple or two.
For those that seem to be anti-Scott...the proof is in the report, according to NE.com!

I'm glad to see that Florida is still financially stable, solvent and moving forward. Many will grumble and finger point, but the bottom line is that my tax dollars are being much better managed by this governor than they would have been by Changable Charile. Keep up the good work Gov. Scott!

Excellent, now the whole state can have palm trees in every public housing project.

$1000.00 a pop palm trees like the ones in Cantonment's public apartments on highway 29.
