Sister, I’m glad your sister wasn’t injured during the robbery. While I was there with my Grandaughter , Janice was the one who was behind the counter. My receipt says that I was there at 19:50 ( military time ) which is actually 7:50. I’m assuming they were still running an hour out. I’m just thankful everyone is ok. I hope they catch the loser that did that !!

Hey Sister ! I’m sorry to hear about they being your sister that was robbed. When I was there with my Grandaughter, it was Janice that was behind the counter that checked us out. I’m do glad they didn’t get hurt ! I hope they catch those fools !

My six year old Grandaughter and I were there getting her some chocolate syrup for her milk right before this took place. It was her birthday. I know that Janice was extremely upset. I’m so glad she was not injured. I’ve known her since I worked at the bank and she has always been a hard working woman. It’s a shame that people have to rob and steal from people. They should get a job and be honest citizens. If my Grandaughter would have still been in there and got hurt in ANY way… They may not have made it out of there unharmed. Praying for you Janice !

I was there just before this took place, no white truck was there at that time, but I recall the attendant standing outside the door smoking and I thought it odd that such a location would have only one attendant…. if any one else was in the store they were very out of site and definitely not attendant of the surroundings and what was going on. If someone were to be casing the place for a robbery I am sure they would assuming as I did that she was alone.

To Richard: FACT: I never said this location was robbed at other times during working hours. Maybe it is a fact that 2 people are always on duty (as I commented above). FACT: I’ve still been there many times and have only seen one worker. yes, I know someone else could be in the back doing something else.
FACT: I’ve been there, have seen a worker leave, with a comment that so-and-so would be there in a little while, thus leaving only one worker in the store.
FACT: Was not starting any debates, just making observations and suggestions of having more than one person in the store since it’s mostly females working, and the mindset of some is that it’s easier target because of that. I also realize that having more than one worker is not going to deter someone who is definitely set out to rob a place.
Again, just making some observations.

I pass this station on my way to work, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen law enforcement vehicles there. Just the physical location of this business makes it a target of opportunity. While LEO patrol this area, they can’t be everywhere all the time and the low lifes know this. Unfortunately “tis the season” takes on a whole new meaning anymore with all these despots sculking around ready to prey on the innocent. A harder line, meaning send the scumbags to meet their maker is the only deterrent that will make them rethink their actions.

To Leslie: fact: there are always two people there from before dark until close, this is the first time in 23 years the store has been robbed while open. The store has been burglarized many times at night while closed. The owners have updated the video and got very good footage of this suspect and there is a suspect already being sought!
