When Tate Rd. and Hwy. 29 light changed from flashing to a valid stop light many years ago, I was a new driver and got into the worst accident. As I was dealing with police and ambulances..cars were nearly slamming eachother left and right before our very eyes. Please be careful.

Wow, your vehicle defies the laws of physics and can coast UPHILL?

2 lights within one mile of each other has “ruined 9 mile road”?

What you are saying is, your “personal inconvenience” outweighs the good of all the jobs being created, etc.

What is going to be interesting is all the folks that are hauling trash to the dump….With 9 mile going to a 4 lane highway, it is going to create a safety issue with trash and debris falling out of trucks and into traffic….

What sucks is pulling a trailer..you buid up speed before the hill…and coast up it. Now you have to stop right in the middle of it…hold the hill…the take off again and pull your load up that stupid hill…then stop again at the other stupid light. I hate nfcu, it ruined 9 mile.

I completely agree with Beulah Resident coming up that hill if people are stopped and u don’t see them, especially if you’re driving a smaller car like myself, you don’t see them until it’s almost too late. That hill does have a blind spot. Driving up it going west bound.

just curious… how exactly did the existing red light CAUSE numerous accidents resident? you can see that light for miles in each direction

if there is an accident at that light, its because the DRIVER wasnt paying attention

I wish they would make an entrance and exit for the NFCU employees directly onto the interstate, this would eliminate some of the traffic on 9 mile. It appears to me that all of the drivers that I notice tailgating, passing folks using the turning lanes, speeding, etc are always folks turning into the credit union….it’s like they are angry drivers. I would hate to live in the neighborhood directly across from the construction site, the dust is horrible and they have cut down the only pine trees on the south side of the road that was the only buffer those folks had. Beulah won’t ever be same….

I completely agree Steve. The red light they already have a the top of the hill has caused numerous accidents!!

I had the same thought about its location at first too. The signal is hidden by the hill if you are east bound on Nine Mile, however, you will have just come through the light at Heritage Oaks Blvd, which should ‘break stride’ so to speak, and then the new light becomes visible as you come over the hill. Shouldn’t be too big a deal as long as drivers are paying attention and not driving recklessly.
