I had lunch with my daughter at McArthur elementary she didn’t know I was coming and she already had gotten her lunch from there. I brought lunch for her. They had chicken alfredo it was horrible my dogs wouldn’t eat it. The sauce had been so watered down it had no flavor. She has complained everytime they have chicken it’s pink in the middle and told the cafeteria workers they told her it was done to sit down and eat it. District officials should go in and try the slop they feed the kids with no notice.

The only way my boys will participate is if they are giving away decent food in exchange for purchasing the junk they serve now. I can’t believe the schools think kids want to eat the new “healthy” options. I am all for healthy but they have gone way overboard! We have resorted to taking lunches EVERY DAY instead of investing $3.00+ for food my kids throw away. I have heard numerous kids from numerous schools say this is the worst it has ever been! Seriously – look at the menus – it’s disgusting.

There is also a correlation between the wasted tax dollars and the food students throw into the garbage due to poor tasting government mandated menus. It also correlates to the poor school grades due to students not eating those same lunches.
