This is a good reason to have neighborhood watch groups. Good this neighbor was aware this was happening. Good job calling it in and great job catching them! If you can make your home less attractive to theives by locking stuff up, do it. Join a Neighborhood watch group or form your own. Call David Craig at the ECSO to find out more.

If he doesn’t get prison time, he should at least get a ton of community service for this. If he wants to get his hands on a lawnmower that bad, we ought to let him….

We need more neighbors being vigilant and notice what is going on in their areas so some of these thieves can be stopped or caught. Some have to work for a living and do not deserve having their stuff stolen by these kind–that will not work but would rather steal and sell for near nothing to get their next fix. After conviction these kind need to be placed in confinement at the rate of $1.00 per day of what it will cost to put the victim back whole meaning if it took $300.00 to replace the items the culprit will serve 300 days and have to pay the dollar amount back to the victim under terms of release and probation and none of this bull that when the culprit violates then the debt is non collectable. Like these kind when they destroy a $4000.00 air conditioning system to get their $60.00 or so for scrap need to be punished the same way at $1.00 per day will make them think the next time they want to take from another. LOCK THEM UP AND MAKE THEM PAY.
