A quick dash to the car is different than by his own admission “several minutes”, and who’s to say how many minutes it really was. Since there apparently was no one else that saw him, they may never know what length of time the child was left alone. Freak accidents can happen, but children that age shouldn’t be left alone like that. He should have put her in a playpen or woke the mother if it was so important he go outside.

Let’s jump on the court of public opinion band wagon and say how bad this young man is for what happened. We don’t know, freak accidents happen, the kid could have fell and injured themselves. Should he have been paying more attention? Sure. How many of us have ran out to our car for a quick minute and left our kids alone?

Truly sad some young ppl now of days jus don’t have a soul as a father I really hate to hear stories of child neglect. Its pretty simple if you don’t want children then stop making them because children don’t choose to be here.
