The photo was viewed by the burglary victim and passed on to police. If you are worried about going to jail based on what’s on your facebook page, my advice would be to stop doing illegal stuff and posting it there.

@me The government did not look at the girlfriends FB page, as stated in the article the victim did! And if you don’t want unknown people looking at your stuff then don’t post it or change the dang privacy settings.

A criminal was caught because of social media and that is a bad thing? I understand the invasion of privacy but if you’ve got nothing to hide and are careful of what you post, it isn’t a big issue. Some people put EVERYTHING on Facebook and more. Social media and cellphones have helped in so many ways in righting wrongs. It’s not always a good thing but being careful about what is posted is common sense. It is surprising how many crimes have been solved as a result of capturing info with social media and phones.
