This man is my dad, he has been through hell and back, he and my mom. Are divorced so I had been at his house the summer it happened, so as y’all can imagine I wasn’t too thrilled about the whole situation and I called him horrible names. And after I took a step back and look at the whole situation from a different perspective I found my self thinking, why would my dad do that without the partners consensually, he wouldn’t so I think that the woman didn’t get what she wanted like money or something so now she ran off telling people that he raped her. I’m not saying what he did was right but I don’t think he’s a rapist. I just wanna see my dad again.

What evidence supports your opinion that it was a setup?
How was he forced to have sex with her?
Will she enjoy being cross-examined in court?
How does she benefit?
How does he benefit from destroying evidence which would exonerate him if innocent?

Further, not everybody has an opinion. Most have never heard and those who have heard don’t know the people involved well enough to believe they know which one is lying.

I need more information to believe he is guilty. Right now it is “he said, she said.” Guilty of sex on the job, yes. Guilty of it being non-consensual. Not sure. That is not really clear without more facts. He did need to lose his job as no one should be doing what he did while on the clock. But criminal charges? Not until I hear of more hard facts. He is guilty of bad judgement (aren’t we all at one time or another) and nothing criminal (until proven otherwise). Yes, I know it says, “destruction of evidence” and I would guess it was because he knew he should not be doing any sort of sex acts while working. Not because he was guilty of something illegal. Wrong, yes. Illegal, no.

Did he do it? He admitted to the deed. If the other party involved is looked at more closely, and it will come out, the public will find that she has made allegations towards other people in the past. What he did was wrong, but I have known him for several years and there is a lot more to this story that is not being told. We, as a society, are quick to point the finger and yell guilty until knowing all the facts. My prayers go out to his family and hope that they can keep their spirits high during this most difficult time.

CONTEMPLATING:
“He was always a good husband and father and I will wait until all facts are out before I make a judgement.”

Would it be possible to come to some preliminary conclusions based on: “Majors reportedly admitted to to act while on duty, but claimed it was consensual.”

Surely sex while on duty is frowned upon by those not allowed the privilege.
It’s generally frowned upon by wives and children, definitely taxpayers and those expecting law enforcement officers to take time to put their pants back on to come help in time of need.

Good husbands and fathers don’t have consensual or non-consensual with a woman who is NOT HIS WIFE!!!!

He admitted to consensual at a minimum while on duty and in uniform. Not husband/father of the year material and definitely not LEO material.

Good riddance IMO…..

Not saying one way or the other, and yes, he was in uniform and should not have gotten into something sexual while in uniform, but….sometimes ppl are accused of acts that are not always what they appear to be. I hope all is investigated appropriately so that the truth pervails.

I have known Chris since the early 90’s and these charges really surprise me. He was always a good husband and father and I will wait until all facts are out before I make a judgement.

Wouldn’t be the first time someone filed false charges looking for a payout. However, we will see how it unfolds.
