I got robbed at gunpoint one time at 6am on a Sunday morning. Also was retail robbed twice (no violence) two nights in a row (one by a 38-year-old man and his 18-year-old son). I used to live near this store in Montclair and remember all those bars in front. Florida law states that store registers are not to have more than $35 and all extra money gets dropped in the safe that the clerk can't open. This law is to protect the clerks as long as the criminal knows about the law and realizes that it's not worth it to rob for only about $35 because they can't get the safe. We also had gas drive-offs all the time and this is why people have to pay first before pumping. I hated checking ID's and could be arrested if I made a mistake. One guy came in at 11:45pm before his 21st birthday to buy a beer. I made him wait the 15 minutes to be legal. When I left that company I vowed never to work at a convienence store ever again.
