Wanting or not wanting a change of mascot has nothing to do with the community unity, or lack thereof. Nor does the number of people who have been graduated from each institution. It’s not a numbers thing and doesn’t depend on EVERYBODY going along.

The Eagles name should remain. You can have the Chiefs at Northview but E.W. Has been around much,much longer than Northview was even thought about and have always had the Eagles from Day 1.

Resident– I understand your thinking but Spirit must come from the school and the Ernest Ward students need their own identity in middle school, looking forward to becoming a “Northview Chief” in high school. Middle school is one of the hardest transition years in life and these kids need to be able to make memories for 3 years and then make news ones for 4 more at Northview High School. However, on the other hand I will say A Chief always has an Eagle at his side:))))

We already have “The Chiefs”. Ernest Ward is still Ernest Ward, new building old traditions. Let’s let the middle schoolers keep their own identy, they will be Chiefs soon enough.

What a great time to change the school colors to Garnet and Gold and the mascot to “The Chiefs”. It would do so much to build School and Community spirit around our High School, the Northview Chiefs!

Awesome to see this taking shape.
It is a wonderful addition to the community and the students and teachers must be very excited about moving into a brand new facility.

Citizens, we need to continue to support the Local Option Sales Tax for projects such as this and fire trucks, emergency vehicles and other great improvements.
