Year after year, case after case people always complaining about needing to know the location of the patient. REALLY!!!Female mosquitoes carry viruses and they don't care about property lines, city limits or county districts. They fly and so do the birds that harbor the viruses. It doesn't matter where the case occured. You should take precautions and act as all mosquitoes are carrying a virus. Already this year we've had reports of WNV in horses and people, EEE in horses and chickens, chikungunya in people and dengue fever in people. So it really doesn't matter where these cases occured, you should always take precaution. By listing a location provides people with a false sense of security in other areas, b/c they feel the mosquitoes in their areas are not carriers, which would not be accurate.
