I did not know Angela, I was friends with her son’s grandmother but she talked to me about her. she loved her a lot, she told me that she was a wonderful person. I felt like I knew her. I am in prayer for the family. I pray that GOD will be with you all though this trying time. she may be taken from her son, she may be taken from her parents, she may be taken from her friends but no one can take her from GOD. Shine on baby girl, shine on. peace and love to all who loved her.

My love and prayer of truth goes out to the young lady, family of the deceased and her work family. Im so sorry for the great loss. I knew her not but from reading whats been written about her, she loved and is loved. I was excited to know a new business had been birthed in the area…we were ready to support her business and was deeply hurt when we witnessed this shock. Im proud of her and richly honored to know she was and will still carry her title of a Virtuous Woman. Who can find a Virtuous Woman? We did. Ms. Covington you are a Virtuous Woman. GOD Bless.

Ms . Covington was the most sweetest & caring person I’ve ever met she would give her last I’ve had the pleasure of working with her at Blackwater we started together & attended Northwest Florida State College “Corrections Academy” together she was my partner through it all before she opened up her store she invited us to help her paint I remember like it was yesterday it broke my heart when I got the news that she was killed I still remember the day we got OC sprayed she walked me through the course then it was up for her to go I held her hand & guided her she said to me “Wiliams I can’t breathe , I can’t DO THIS” I said you’re breathing just fine you’re talking to me I’ll remember all the good times we shared I send my prayers and condolences to her Mother , her son Craig who she talked highly of and the rest of her Family until we meet again Rest in Paradise Angela M Covington .

I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Covington for about a year. We were Correctional officers together and I was honored to say she was a friend. Thoughts and prayers to her son, mother and family. She will be missed by her Blackwater Correctional family.

It’s sad that some loved person was executed by any method. But it did happen with a gun. We can’t blame the gun any more than we can blame a car for someone getting a DUI or being hurt by an impaired driver.

@Walnut Hill Roy- Please cite your source for this claim: “I can’t let the murder by guns comment pass without commenting that many times that number of murders are stopped by people with guns.”

I’ll be waiting, because there is zero data to support your claim.

And Lifendason, you are correct that the man apparently killed this woman–but if he had not had a gun, someone probably could have stopped him before he killed her with a spoon.

It is so sad when you hear the statement ‘Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.’ This is true, but a gun will stay put FOREVER, and never fire on its own, if someone didn’t pick it up and pull the trigger. When will we learn? After we destroy all mankind! Get real.

Guns don’t kill people.
Blood loss due to holes created by bullets fired from guns by people kills people.
(Or organ damage or whatever.)

Guns are good for making those holes. Other tools will also work but only with greater effort and usually in closer proximity.

Ladies, please be careful when you choose mates, even temporary mates.

Gentlemen, your reasons for wanting to kill people are seldom worth the personal expense in time, property and freedom you will incur. Please reconsider.
