Steven Barry ovrsaw the efforts and helped spearhead the land purchase, which is not my first choice, but wikk have to suffice. I talked with Grover many times too and I think Grover and the rest of the BCC got our message and some behind the scene efforts caused IFAS to come around. Time will tell if IFAS got the whole message and will use the new location as they promised to do when they were pushing Cottage Hill State Park. It might not be 200+ acre's, but its a GREAT step forward and allows the kids to continue their agricultural experiences. It would be impossible to please everyone in this situation, but I think Steven Barry has done a tremendous job trying to "right the wrong" that other leaders felt was unimportant once the Langley Bell funds were received. I want to say Thank you to Mr. Barry and all of the 4H leaders that invested tireless hours and energy into standing up for the kids of Escambia County 4H. Hope everyone takes the time to tour the new property today. I am excited about the new property and all that it offers.
