As a biology teacher in Miami Dade, I am frustrated as well not knowing how my students have done. My students email me daily, requesting updates. The testing window (for biology) ended the 3rd full week in May, one would think results would have been available before the end of the academic year, as testing is computer based and questions are multiple choice. Feedback is important for students as well as teachers. For the moment there are less than 10 EOC's and we face these issues. One can only imagine how it will be when every course has an EOC.

@ Robert:

The EOC's are for students in the 11th grade down. With a few exceptions, most students should have completed these by their senior year.

FYI, You can see the grades for individual classes if you click on 'Assignments & Grades' and then each class.

Wrong!!! All grades were wiped from the Parent Portal a couple days ago. So if you haven't been tracking your student's grades throughout the year, it's too late now and you will just have to wait.

So, basically if a student was a Senior in the 2013-14 school year and received a diploma indicating they had graduated it is possible that if they did not pass the End of Course Exam that they really did not pass?

Thank you to the Florida legislature for adding another layer of politics and built-in difficulty to our kids lives.

My understanding was that the test vendors -- through the legislature -- were obligated to having the scores returned almost immediately and that there were financial penalties if that did not happen.

Do the students in Charter and Private schools have the same requirements placed upon them?

I guess the check I made out to my nephew and niece should have had a note "Pending outcome of the EOC" on it.

Remember, a kid can have all passing grades in one of the courses noted and still fail the course if they do not pass the EOC.
