The same or actually more emphasis should be placed on ensuring academic achievements as this are funded and their travels are paid for by the school. The need for a go fund me account is a slap in the face to what is a much bigger achievement than throwing a football or baseball. I love to watch a good football game but academics should be the main priority of a high school.
