I want to let all the families who have lost a loved one who died while serving this great Nation that I love you all and you have a special place in my heart and prayers, I have lost some ship mates, family and friends who were proudly serving this great Nation and who were very much aware that they may have to give the ultimate sacrifice someday while performing thier duty or trying to save the lives of others. We have a saying in the Coast Guard " So others may live" and we take that saying to heart knowing all to well we have to go out but we may not always make it back. No matter what branch of military you have served or are currently serving, you are my brothers and sisters and I salute you all. Life, liberty, pursuit of happiness and the right to live a life free from oppression are just a few of the reasons most of us decided to join the military, we wanted to protect those rights and i can't think of a more noble cause.
